ROCKAWAY SUNSET
Uploaded: October 06, 2011
So many months passed by without shooting sunset on beaches. Even though this sunset was not spectacular, it made me feel good to be back to this familiar beach.

I like the subdued sunset. Spectacular sunsets are breathtaking, but I lean to the less ostentatious...the female cardinal rather than the startling male, the back end of the pea hen, and a soothing sunset, such as this. You are masterful, Alex. #1413309JO ANN CLEVELAND October 09, 2011

Michelle has a good point... there's plenty to enjoy looking at, in this capture. Great color in the sky, and I love the silky water. #9734560Alex T. Mizuno October 15, 2011
Michelle, Jo Ann and Chris, thank you for your wonderful comments!!Michelle, I love the subdued sunset of the sea too. And the sea is a female noun :)
Jo Ann: Hope your words have a positive spell on this.
Chris: This is one of my favorite spots but unfortunately the water here is contaminated. Auggg! #9737388
