Yellow on Orange - Sun Valley

Description

ISO 800, f/11, 1/500 sec, Canon 100-400 at 285 mm, handheld. Taken early evening. Found this one flower up against the wall of a building while looking for a restaurant. I loved the bright colors and the slight color difference between the flower and the wall. The wind was blowing, so I shot a fast ISO to get a fast shutter speed and handheld. The tripod was back in the car.

Thanks, Joannie! I saw this and thought, gee, for a change isolating the subject isn't a problem here. But it was windy enough I almost didn't try. Fortunately, there was enough light that I could stop the motion - and it turned out ok. #1863080
