Shadow (Black Golden-Eyed Tuxedo, male)

Uploaded: August 23, 2011

Description

Shadow was adopted from the CT Humane Society as a 4 ½ month old domestic short hair (surprise, surprise at the length of his coat) as a companion for their Snowshoe, Sam. He was active and playful (just what Sam needed to overcome his sadness of losing Nicki (grey Tiger) who had just been sent to the Rainbow Bridge). When they brought Shadow home Sam was upstairs on his tree, relaxed and calm without a problem in the world not knowing that a little Tasmanian devil was about to change his life. The moment Shadow, more tail than body, laid eyes on Sam it was like reenacting the charge of the light brigade. He made the top of the tree in two bounces, swatted Sam twice and became the reigning alpha cat in about 30 seconds. Within a month they became buddies as they would sit in the window looking at the birds and squirrels together.
