Leonie f/1.8

Description

This picture was taken with he biggest f-stop possible for my fixed focal length 50mm lens, which is f/1.8. I just started using this lens for the first time last week and I LOVE it for taking portraits. It produces nice sharp shots of the subject while it nicely blurrs the background as you can see here in the picture. Leonie's face is nice and sharp while the carved wood part of the sofa she is sitting on is nicely out of focus. This way the viewer focus's solely on Leonie and is not distracted by the background, while the background still adds some color then just the white wall.

Exif: F Number: 1.8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 10/6400 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, FocalLength: 50.00 mm, Model: NIKON D7000
