And I see you got the most beauuuuuutiful image ever, SSSCWLala. Wonderful colors and comp. And I love how the reflections of the glacier underline the boats.
I'm laughing at the crowd of those crazy tourist who stand in line to get the same shot.
P.S. When we were there you could see me among the crowd. HAHAHA!
And of course there's the standard I-was-here photos. Oh aren't we photographers a great laugh.
I love that you included these two images, Sister. #9595091

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, I was GOING to title this one "49"...can you see why? :) ... but went with Sunrise Shootout because truly, to feel alone and quiet at Lake Louise, one must arrive first. Our truck was only the 5th vehicle there out of probably 500 parking spots. One hour after this and it would have been wall to wall people. I was long gone by then to the next Lake less popular.

There are so many beautiful spots that aren't in the brochures yet so I hit those second, third, fourth etc...

So remember, if you visit here go between 7 and 9 am if you are able! :) And TRULY ANY TIME OF DAY is beautiful here. If you get there late don't worry. You will get your shots. It will just take a little more walking to the lake (many parking lots there) and a little more waiting.

I enjoyed your comments a lot and am glad you liked the other mages I added here for the fun of it.

I feel strange shooting images of people and crowds. It's out of my comfort zone so I had a breakthrough this trip out. I got brave and clicked a few that amused me.

-Laura

P.S. I, too, loved the reflections in the water. I waited for CRYSTAL CLEAR moments with the canoes just right, touring the lake, but it never happened. I waited over an hour. #9595236

Thanks for these images, it reminds me of the place ~ I still used film during those days. #9596391

Good morning Ron, Carol, Susan, Paddy, Cassie, Reynaldo, Kerry, Robert and Tammy!

Ron, once the Rockies get into a persons heart they never leave. I have NEVER grown boared or sick of them and never will. Glad it's the same for you. :) Also glad your weather broke!

Thanks you all for your wonderful comments on getting the worms and catching the reflections and your WOW's! That is a thrill for me!

Reynaldo YES! WOW! What a memory you have. That image you spoke of was a first or second post on BP when I was a new member! How wonderful that you still remember it after all of this time! :D Thank you! We go way back don't we?!

TAMMERS GET THOSE SHORTS ON AND COME ON UP!

YeeHaw!

Have a great day you guys and thanks for the visit!
