I suppose this is a great way to attract people to your gallery ~ by making them curious about what they are looking at. I always include people in my shoots as they elicit considerable interest. Nice capture here to show the tourists in all their unaware moments... #1399772

Ron McEwan August 09, 2011

This looks like it could be on top of Sulphur Mountain Laura. Oh how I have missed the Canadian mountains, it seems like a beautiful dream now. I understand that you are going to have some visitors next month. I told them they could get snow bound, didn't seem to faze them. I didn't mention any name because I have not been cleared to do so. #9592972

Hi Reynaldo, Little Sister Maria, Ron, Steve and Jeff!

If was even more crowded than this minutes before this but I liked this one because almost all of them were looking towards the "view".

Ron, this was the upper deck overlook to Peyto Lake. There are two decks there together. Remember? :)

YES! TOURISTS EVERYWHERE. I have always managed to live in well known places that include brochures! (Yes at no fault of my own!!!) Lol...

Thanks to each of you for the visit!

Always frustrating to have beautiful scenes ruined by people - Jack's constantly reminding me they have a perfect right to be there too! ;-D Neat capture, Laura! #9593114

Thank you JudyAnn, Monnie and Paddy for your fun and great comments! (Yes, Monnie! They tend to block the view at times but then I have done that everywhere I visit too, I imagine! HeeHee...That makes us all even!). #9593207

Wm, it had snowed while Kiki and Leif were there (or the night before?) and am not sure if Ron and Shirley had snow...I dont think so...? Anyway there MIGHT have been some snow on those Rockies across the valley of Lake water...but it was warm and sunny that day for us. WHAT A CLIMB UP THAT MOUNTAIN to GET THERE. I thought I was going to die before reaching the top!
Nope. no goats but some friendly birds!!!

Kitty I am counting on it. I'll leave the porch light on for you. Or should I make it a flashlight and a white tulip? Lol...(Private joke folks!)

Thanks all!

Carol L. Fowler August 09, 2011

I think I would be out there with a bullhorn telling the crowds to get moving so that I could take a picture! I am not great on sharing the Kodak moment! LOL! #9593497

Laura E. Swan level-classic August 09, 2011

People WATCHING NO MATTER WHERE YOU DO IT IS INTERESTING. Nice Goinhg...
Last trip to Yellowstone I was a bit SURPRISED by the INSANELY STUPID THINGS SOME PEOPLE WILL DO...
This YEAR I"LL BE LOOKING TO CATCH THAT BEHAVIOR w/the Camera !!!

HAPPY SHOOTING

Laura E. Swan level-classic August 09, 2011

Oh, Tam-tam, you never get a break from them in Las Vegas where you are, do you. Poor girl. That's for sure. Once October gets here the bears settle in for the winter and so does everyone else around here. Even the TOURISTS KNOW NOT TO COME! Then in the spring (JUNE! HAHAHAHA) we all come back out.

Snow Skiing, however, is huge here so I take a good chunk of that comment back. Bears LOVE to SKI! HeeHee!

Ooo! Jack! Can't wait to see what you come up with! I think Jack Perry made it to Yellowstone this year didn't he and no doubt Ron and Shirley have been there? (Where HAVEN'T THEY BEEN?!) Can you believe it that I live that close to Y.S.P. and have yet to see it?

Have a great trip!

Thanks you guys!

Such a cool pov capture, Pommers! From the looks of the crowd's attire, it was cool as well as sunny that day. Great weather for camera clicking.

Hi Michelle, SSSWWKiki, Emile, Bobby, Heather, Mary and Christine!!! :D

I have been more brave with the camera lately. I rarely ever take pictures of the people or crowds but this trip I pushed the envelope. I tried not to allow faces and did pretty good with this one. Not perfect but I feel very okay with it. :)

It was good for me to shoot outside my own box and I am really pleased that you guys like it.

Thank you everybody!
