I love this capture, Patricia! Great detail of the singer/starling! Could hardly be anywhere but Arizona with that beautiful saguaro 'neath the entertainer! #9636720Patricia A. Casey August 27, 2011
Hi Thomas....Thanks for the peak and compliment...yup it is Arizona...it actually is Cardon...which is a Mexican Type of Saguaro...not sure if that is actually 100% correct, but they grow a lot faster than a saguaro...this in my front yard...we have three that we planted in 1999 that were about 3 feet high each....now they are well over 12 feet....we have some nests now in them...the Gila Woodpeckers build the homes then the starlings take over the next year once they are abandoned.Have a terrific day!

What a wondrous front yard you must have! You never have to leave your home to get great images! #9636755Patricia A. Casey August 27, 2011
When we moved to Arizona from Washington State we decided on planting nothing but desert plants...we do love our yard and all of our cactus "kids"..we really do dote on them...one day I'll post a photo of the front and back yard to see...it is our oasis in the community we live in. #9636801Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
