The Non-Conformist
Uploaded: July 15, 2011 05:47:52
I just happened upon these horses resting in the hot sun against the fence. I carry this camera in the car so grabbed a quick shot. This was enhanced in PSCS4 with several layers and textures.

You always do such excellent processing Karen. Loved the title as well. Try to stay cool and pray for rain. #9534086Karen Slagle July 16, 2011
Thank you Emile. As much as I love taking picture sometimes I think I love Photoshop more as I have so much fun turning each image to something different. Yes, pray for rain, we've had none... #9534143Mary Beth Aiello July 21, 2011

Just shows, you should always carry your camera around. Also shows, there's always the odd one out in any group. Effects applied to this one work very well & the sky looks a bit like ours here at the moment!! Good work=^..^= #9546272Karen Slagle July 22, 2011
Thanks alot Chris, of course you are correct about carrying our cameras around. I just don't want to leave my 'better' camera in the car with all the thieving going on. Wish our sky looked like this, just wishing and hoping I reckon. #9546946Chris Ebben July 23, 2011
I know what you mean about the cameras, nothing much is safe in our cars either, for that matter, the cars aren't safe either!! I bought a Sony H70 that fits well in my bag or pocket & only take the bigger Nikon out on Photoshoots or drives when I won't be leaving the car. We are having a fine day, it hasn't rainned all day!!! #9550307Karen Slagle July 24, 2011
It's too bad the world is the way it is, makes it hard for all of us. Wish it would rain here, we've only had 1.4 inches of moisture sine the first of this year, everything is burned up by fires, wind, sun and heat. #9550794Mitch Spence August 24, 2011
Love the scene, poses, textures, and light, Karen. So sorry you still have no respite from the drought. After about four weeks of it here, we finally have been getting welcome rains and cooler temperatures. #9625046Karen Slagle August 24, 2011
Thanks so much, Mitch. At least you are getting rain so I know it's raining somewhere.....Hopefully we'll get some much need snow this winter. #9625131Nancy L. Green August 29, 2011
