Baby Purple Gallinule Growing Up

Uploaded: July 09, 2011

Description

A Baby Purple Gallinule getting bigger. I loved being able to see them again. The colors are so pretty on them. They don't look any thing like the parents. Taken at Seminole Park. Seminole, FL.

Gorgeous capture Kay. Sure is walking with purpose here, racing across those lily pads. We have much the same birds over here which we call the Pukekoe. I just love them. #1391717

A wonderful capture and I must admit that I am quite jealous that you found a Purple Gallinule chick, very nice work. #9518815

Oh, he is adorable, Kay! I'm afraid I wouldn't have know what he was if you didn't tell us. Love his long legs and how he is trotting across the lilly pads! A really great shot! #9518899

Great capture with good colors. I photographed them this year for the first time. It's not easy as they run over the lily pads so fast. I'm amazed with their big feet!! #9639088
