Starfish on the Beach

Description

Songs of yesteryear often re-visit my mind, especially during beach walks. I’m not sure why when the songs of the wind and waves are quite enough. When I see sea stars, I often think of the lyrics from Red Rubber Ball (Paul Simon): “Now I know you’re not the only starfish in the sea”. Or a lyric from Seasons in the Sun: "We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun, but the stars we could reach were just starfish on the beach." (Terry Jacks, 1974) "JUST" star fish on the beach?

And then probably the song becomes an "earworm" for both YOU and me!

The way you've managed to have the light focus on the lone star is priceless, Randall. I guess Oregon is now the second "Lone Star" state! #1385642

This is beautifully composed ... a lyric from the lens. Ann #9463760
