Horsing around on Karen's Birthday-
Happy Birthday Dear Karen!
These are six week old sea horses and were born at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California.
Besides there strange little 'horse like' appearance and prehensile tail, the seahorse has another unusual adaption. The male carries the eggs in an abdominal pouch and gives birth to the young.
