The Harp by the Door
Description: For more than a century, Mare Island (37 miles north of San Francisco) was a US Navy Shipyard. Its WWII workforce of 40,000 was scaled down to 5,800 in 1993, when the base was closed. Today Mare Island is an interesting area with many beautiful, yet unattended, old structures. Here, the pipe with its shadow looked to me like a harp.
