The Studio

This is the studio of Augustus Saint- Gaudens in Cornish, NH. The original burned in 1904 destroying much of his writings and works in progress. I was standing on a side porch of the Federalist house which was the summer residence for many years until Saint-Gaudens retired there suffering from cancer.
