Twisted

It was a nice day yesterday and managed to get out with the camera.....still not too much growing but it is starting too....
Found this twisted dried weed/flower from last year that somehow survived the winter....kinda neat I thought but I no idea what it may be....any suggestions? It is about 1.5 inches across...
