At first, I thought this was one of Mike's. This is beautiful, Rita. The lighting is great. Well done. #1376078

Wow...so beautiful on that black background. The lighting is sweet! :~) You may want to reduce the noise on the stem area, but it's not a big deal. Yeah there are probably blown out areas on the petals, but honestly I'm not bothered by them because I see this flower as having a slightly reflective property to it. Like it's a bit shiny and the lighting as is looks natural. Lovely! #9399719

Beautiful Rita. Great Detail and the black BG is wonderful with the white. I don't think this shot needs a thing but a gold ticket.

I agree with Aimee's comment about the white and think it is appropriate for this flower also. #9400172

What lens and settings did you use for this shot! I love the way you got everything in focus. The white against the black is stunning!! #9400378

thank you all so much, since I fractor two ribs easter weekend I haven't been able to get out much so I bought this one. this was done with a black blanket behind it and totally window light, but it was not direct sunlight. beth my setting was f/6.3 1/400 58mm #9401245

Excellent lighting and detail Rita! I do agree with Aimee about the noise in the greens. I think you could safely apply a heavy dose of selective noise reduction to the area since there is no detail there to lose. #9401247

I'm depressed. Do I need a new monitor or some laser eye surgery as I don't see any noise on the stem? With a blurred background like this I just am not seeing this.
Very nice indeed Rita. #9401558

thank you tony and pete, I am with you pete don't see noise as much as softness so I wouldn't go get laser surgery yet....LOL #9401685
