1/3s @ f/16, ISO 100 Nikkor 24-70 mm f/2.8 @ 24mm, taken 4/30/11@7:11 am.(C-A)
A fishing boat heads out to Lake Michigan past the Inner Lighthouse that marks the entrance to the Grand River at Grand Haven, MI. The LH is a red, conical steel plate 51 foot tower built in 1905. There are actually two LHs: the outer (pierhead) light (to be posted another day) built in 1879, housed the original fog signal building. They are connected by an elevated catwalk.

Different yes and very effective, too, Rona...Love how the cloud patterns mimic the water ripples and love that perspective with both the rocky ledge and the catwalk leading the eye to that fantastic point of interest - what a very cool place to photograph - bet the opps possibilities are endless between the pov and the time of day! :) :) #9397748Rona L.
