Description



2011 being 150 years since the beginning of the Civil War we see Jim Busby, a Civil War re-enactor and commander of the Walton Guard at the site of the battle of Walton Landing.

The photograph has been converted to black/white, darkened, scratched and exposed along the edges to resembled a photograph from those times.

Thank you Merna. This year is a significant one in our nation's history. The Civil War is but 150 years past and the U.S. Navy is remembering their 100th year of aviation history that began here in the Pensacola, Florida area. I ask these re-enactors for their most serious stare, however you cannot truly capture the sadness and despair that a soldier has in his eyes over the hopelessness of war.
