I love the color combination and the clarity of the petal of the flower. All your entries are outstanding. Merna #1370685FERNANDA KINGSLEY-THOMAS April 20, 2011

Hi MernaWhat does EP mean?
This flower was a crop from a group of flowers and this one was the only one in focus. Most of my flowers I have taken with little compact cameras or with the Fuji. It's hard to handhold and get a sharp picture with little cameras. Even with my Canon 500D IS if I go below 1/60 of a second I don't get them sharp at 100%. Sometimes I get good images and then when I get home I realize I didn't pay attention on my shutter speed and my pictures go to the bin. But if I had a sharpening program it could help. Thanks again for your help. #9443935

When you decide that you want close ups that come out sharp you will need to invest in a macro lens.I try to do this with my Nikkor 24-120mm lens, but they are never as good as they are with the macro 105mm.Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
