The big pencil, Aussie style

Uploaded: April 18, 2011

Description

I thought this one was up there with the big Oyster, Pineapple, Sheep, Spud etc. You can see by the light-pole just how big it is, it was on the walk out to Nobbys Light-house. I spotted it & called out to Tony "Look it's the big Pencil", some people took pictures too, others just looked, shook their heads & walked off. No imagination!!! Lens aperture f/10, shutter speed 1/400sec, focal length 24mm, ISO 200.

Exif: F Number: 10, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 10/4000 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 24.00 mm, Model: NIKON D90

Can you imagine how HEAVY this pencil would be? As heavy as the ones they'd make us use as kids in school when we had to take a test!!!!

HA!

Love it Chris!

I tried to find out the story behind these big beauties but got nowhere. Was told they were there to stop people walking off the path & causing erosion!! Maybe I should ask again..... #9509863
