~Padre Island National Seashore~

Another archive photo - taken January 2010. Cold and blustery with winds gusting over 40 MPH, the weather didn't stop these dedicated birders who took to the beach in the hopes of adding a new bird to their personal Life List. Padre Island is located directly over the Central Migratory Flyway where nearly half of all the documented bird species in the entire North American continent pass thru on their way to "other places".
