Description

1/50s @ f/11, ISO 640, Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 @ 200mm. (MT).
No, this is not broccoli! These are the mountains and luxuriant rain forests of Milford Sound, NZ taken during a boat cruise of the Sound. The red flowers blooming are from the pohutukawa tree - they bloom around Christmas time (this was taken December, 2009)and hence the tree's popular name, the New Zealand Christmas tree.
