Built in 1920, the stone and wood State Game Lodge is set in a mountain valley and surrounded by ponderosa pine forest. This Custer State Park lodging was the Summer White House for President Calvin Coolidge in 1927 and President Dwight D Eisenhower in 1953. The lodge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Tomorrow we'll start a tour around the Wildlife Loop Road for a look at the wildlife... #1364577
