My goodness, Chris! She's going to be a big girl by the size of those paws!!! I had a wonderful time browsing your Miss Uriah's photos...she just has the sweetest little face - those dark eyes surrounded by all that luscious white fur and I bet she's a good puppy! Please give her a scratch behind the ears from Auntie Val...if you could clone her, I'd take 3!!! :) #9312653

LOL... love what you wrote here- you'd take 3! I don't think so~ I say that because she is a BIG HANDFUL!!!!!!! So so inquistive, SMART, into EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING! We have to raise her with more STRICT rules- as she is from another organization- she is going to be a working/companion dog... this cutie pie keeps me very BUSY!
Do you know that at 9 weeks she could sit and wait (for about 4 seconds for her food/water). Now at almost 11 and a half weeks she sits, stays/and waits until I blow the whistle three times and I tell her to 'take' it. She knows 'down' (to lay down) and she was doing that at 9 weeks too...
I caught her up on our couch- and resting over the arm- so so cute, but we need to keep her off and on the floor. She is still having trouble with 'OFF'... as she likes to jump up- puppies do that though- she'll learn quick enough.

We are not allowed to teach her to retrieve things and I was allowing her to play and chase a bicycle rire once... apparently, that is not allowed-Now I understand why- first she is only very young and the running with it in her mouth is not good for her growing teeth/jaw and front legs and second- the most biggest reason is that she may remember playing and chasing tires and will want to chase anything that moves- vehicles, bikes, wagons, wheels-tires- NOT GOOD for a working seeing eye dog-
When I think about it, these strict rules make sense...

she really is a handful- guess how much she probably weighs at almost 12 weeks? I'd say 18 lbs... we are going to the vets on Wed... I'll see then.
