This piece appears so convincingly to be a very old and traditional painting I was surprised to see it here! The foreground orange untrimmed, with the white stuff clinging to the pieces in contrast to the neatly cut orange behind, and the circular petaled flowers contrapuntal to the white diffuse circles in the background, then meeting again in the tiny dots on the rough skin of the uncut orange. Every piece of this composition is in relationship once, twice, thrice with the remaining components in a pleasantly tight arrangement that delights the eye and the mind. Lovely work, Sally #9298704
