A rework of an earlier favorite taken wide-angle at the Air Force Memorial. (Thanks, Kara!) HDR combo of 3 exposures.
The name Skyhook struck me with a laugh this morning; way back in Boy Scouts, it was a long-standing gag to harass the newer Scouts during
multi-troop campouts, by sending them on a goosechase, asking to borrow a "skyhook" to help pitch our tents. Of course, when the
newbie asked at another troop, invariably an older Scout answered with "We just lent our skyhook to Troop 123--go ask them."

Thank you both... I sure do enjoy the wide-angle lens! Now that our weather is finally moving closer to spring, I hope to get out for a whole bunch of new shots with that lens. #9292050Robert Hechinger March 15, 2011
