Description

Taken in the early morning while watching the calm lake. Pristine surroundings. No fancy work with the camera just a simple point and shoot; my interpretation of the August 2005 theme.

Hello Collen, I wanted to tell you that this is a lovely picture. Nicely composed and the black and white makes it very peaceful. I think it would be nice also with a touch of mand coloring to either the lake in a cool bright blue, or the chairs being a warm rich red wood. Not that it needs anything just thought it would be different

Thank you Janet, While I do like black and white with hand tinting, I chose to stick with b&w in keeping with the August theme: "simplisity". I wanted to go with a sipmle composite, a simple subject and I chose black and white for this purpose. However I would consider tinting the water, if only I knew how. I am quite a beginer in PS. I have just recently purchased PS CS2 and have started taking a course in the basics. If you or anyone else knows the steps to hand tint in PS I would be glad to give it a whirl.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my work.
