Description

This photo was taken last month just a few days after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I thought I’d post it today and let my friends at BP know what’s being going on as I haven’t been around much here lately.

I’ve had surgery already and chemo and/or radiation will be my next line of defense. One of those will begin in the next week or two, so I’m not sure if I’ll be up to posting and/or commenting for awhile.

Hopefully in a few months all of this will be behind me. I just wanted to

I would like to thank two BP friends who have helped me along in my journey so far:

~ Darren Fisher, a fellow Cancer Survivor ~ Thanks for your advice and for all of your warm and encouraging thoughts. I think about you often, and I pray that you have a quick recovery. Thanks so much for being there.

~ Len Pierce, a wonderfully caring person who has put forth much time and effort in raising funds towards the cure for Cancer. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Many thanks also for all of your support, your comforting words, and for cheering me on. What a truly special person you are!

Such a beautiful image and heart stirring news.. I know we don't frequent each others galleries but had to stop and say how brave you are.. I hate it when I hear of this monster called cancer trying to take down another, and do truly believe in the power of prayer.. I witnessed first hand the support system Darren recieved here and believe fully that you will recieve the same.. We really are a family here and when one of us suffers, we all do.. You are first among my prayers tonight and will remain there until you share your wonderful news of remission with your BP family.. God Bless you... #1767349

Stay strong and think positive! As I wrote yesterday there is always light in the end of the tunnel.
We all should be so blessed for what we have instead of complaining about what we would like to have..

What a great shot! CONGRATS!
I'm sorry about the breast cancer. My wife just had a double masectomy a few months ago so she won't be having to go through chemo and radiation. She is doing really well now even though I know she is having a hard time psycologically dealing with the way she looks and I tell her it's ok but it is a self esteem downer. I hope your path gets you better real soon! Bless you!
