Giving a packet of balloon vine seeds to your sweetheart is a Victorian way of showing affection or a frugal way to send a message to your Valentine.

Wow! This is such a brilliant entry for Valentines' Day! Gorgeous photography, and I think if I ever received such a gift, I would feel the most loved person on the planet! The seeds remind me of "Yin" and "Yang" too...which makes them even more romantic! #9241526

I've seen these, but they didn't look as great as you made them look. Nice job! #9306260

Description

Cardiospermum halicacabum

Also known as Balloon Vine and Heartseed, this fast growing 10 tall annual uses tendrils to tightly wrap around any point of contact like a fence, trellis or mailbox.. The green tri-part foliage is complemented by petite white flowers. The flowers give way to showy papery green inflated seed pods resembling balloons or lanterns. When the balloons are popped, each contains three black seeds with a white heart embossed or tattooed on it.

Happy Valentine's Day!
