The closed-eyes approach at bat

Uploaded: February 14, 2011 11:54:17

Description

Cloudy day, hard to get a higher shutter, used a high ISO. I like how the bat's motion is blurred but the ball is still frozen in the shot; feel like it gave this shot impact because it is somewhat unusual to see the ball about to get hit. I also love the close-up of my son's precious face and closed eyes - timing that gave more impact to the shot.

Exif: F Number: 7.1, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 10/6400 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 1600, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 270.00 mm, Model: NIKON D90
