Let the SUN SHINE in!
Uploaded: February 03, 2011
---
I'm sitting here in my home office at 5:30 am on February 3. Above me, large clumps of ice are falling onto the roof from the trees above...about every three seconds. I'm SERIOUS!
--------
Will bringing back sunny shots of days gone by have any influence on Mother Nature's wrath? I certainly hope so. Right now, rain, sleet, and snow are predicted AGAIN for Saturday.
--------
So here is a warm sun-kissed shot of Island Beach State Park (Forked River, New Jersey) shot in early April, 2009. What a glorious day on the barrier island! (I came home with seven ticks that day, but it was worth it)!

I am sitting here ready to shut down the computer and brave the 9° temperature and go to work. Thanks for reminding us all of the better days (weather wise) that lie ahead of us. #9209513Michelle Alton February 03, 2011
Snow? These three shots feature the pure white, warm sand on the barrier island. There were some soggy bogs that day...no SNOW!!! #9209516Carolyn M. Fletcher February 03, 2011
I don't want summer, either...too darn hot! It's not the chunks of ice you need to worry about, it's the chunks of tree that comes down with them. Those you have to pick up! That's the bad part about ice storms..sometimes you get lucky and get a couple in a row, so after the first one, all the stuff that was going to fall already did, so the second one is great for photo ops! #9209518Gord MacEachern February 03, 2011
Thanks for the little touch of summer Michelle, they are all beautiful.Alan L. Borror February 03, 2011
A wonderful reminder of summer, Michelle! May I never complain of the summer heat (but I will)! #9209542Danny B. Head February 03, 2011

I am with you on the summer days. I am hoping that my Dads predictions would be off a bit this year. He always said that the weather would not be settled until after Easter and we have a late Easter this year--darn #9209950Jack Ryan February 03, 2011

Hey, this gives me an idea!!Oooh you never know where one might be
And oooh there's lots of places that are hard to reach
I'd like to see you out in the moonlight
I'd like to see you way back in the sticks
I'd like to walk you through a field of wildflowers
And I'd like to check you for ticks
Oh, I'd sure like to check you for ticks
