Dog Beach

Description

Oshie and I went to Dog Beach for this sunrise. Really… it IS named “dog beach”. The tide was low and the sea was calm, so we could walk out on the wet sand without worrying much about getting wet. Oshie and the morning sky were reflecting in the wet sand and tide pools, and the subdued light seemed to enhance the patterns in the sand left by little rivulets during the retreating tide. What a lovely sunrise it was!

(Nikon D700 and 20mm f/2.8D lens, tripod mounted. f/5.0, 1/100th second exposure, ISO 200,)

Exif: F Number: 5, Exposure Bias Value: -0.67, ExposureTime: 10/1000 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 20.00 mm, Model: NIKON D700

OK, Randall. I see this with a beautiful gold badge...perhaps even the G.P. for January. It is off the charts of "Spectacular." Your land and seascapes are all memorable, but the ones that include Oshie are my real favorites. I'd love to have a friend like him to accompany me! #1347496
