very nice in B&W, Steve. I am always a bit shy when it comes to B&W conversion in cases of objects where color plays such an important role, but here you convince me! #1342515

Thank you, Joanna. I felt as you do, but I am trying to explore the tonal world of B&W and was also pleasantly surprised here.

It still looks like a precious metal...and if you hadn't entitled it "Golden Buddah," there would be no "controversy" about the conversion. #9151138

Michelle has a good point :)
It looks terrific in blk/wht...the tones and contrast are great; the details don't get lost in the color, which I know, too, are beautiful. #9151706

Thank you, Michelle and Patti. I am so glad you like it. Interestingly, the colors look richer and cleaner in B&W to me, which I think was your point, Patti.
