Description

These wild ducks live at my siser's farm & they are camera shy. When the Mother sees my car she usually hides her family, this day was extremely hot & they were making the most of the shade. The next day she had them fly into a nearby tree & hide & I tell you, I couldn't see them at all & I know they were there. Lens aperture f/13, shutter speed 1/1000sec, focal length 135mm, ISO 1600.

It is good to see wild ducks behaving as nature intended Chris! I met some down at Davistown that would eat out of your hand. Nice color and contrast control here, you did a great job! #1341593

That story is too funny, Chris! Bet this was a difficult shot with so many moving around at one time! You captured some fantastic colors, tones, detail, clarity & pov ,though! Lovely image & work, indeed! #9145183

I just replied to this & it has dissappeared!! Thanks for your comments. You have to be quick getting a few snaps in before the Mother gets sick of you hanging around & moves them on.

Great exposure control here, Chris - between the well-lit and the shaded areas!! Your sister is fortunate to have these beauties in such number on her farm!! :o)

I always love seeing these ducks around the Lake!! On at least one occasion I remember they wandered up into our street, and into our front yard, which is a couple of streets away from the Lake's edge!! :o) #9151378
