Actually, I felt relatively safe shooting from inside my vehicle during this little storm-chasing adventure.
As lightning strikes became more frequent,I straddled the road and propped the camera against the car door and shot through the open window.
Catching a bolt was difficult...in that it was still daylight and I had to be really quick on the trigger.
