I'm just starting to step out of my comfort zone of photographing flowers and trying landscapes. My sister loves lighthouses and I want to give her framed photo for Christmas. So... I bundled up & ventured out into the cold weather yesterday to snap a few.
The grounds at Fort Rodd Hill closed at 4:30 and sunset was around the same time so I was hustling to get to a good vantage point before security would have to remove me. (Not really... but I was cutting it close)
I forgot my tripod in the car so I set my camera on a rock ledge, pressed the shutter button and hoped for the best.
I am happy with the results but I feel it could be better. Would you please add anything you think would improve on this image in post-processing?
I would gratefully appreciate the help and critique.

What a very pretty lighthouse, Sharon. Lovely moment for your capture, too, with the faint evening color coming into the sky and the day's end lighting on the tower. #9081467Sharon Sawyer December 05, 2010

I am a lighthouse lover too Sharon and I can't see a single thing to make this image any better than it already is! Your lighting is magical and your composition is stellar! #9092096Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
