Taken at the Greene County Fair rodeo in Xenia, OH.
I converted it to B&W and added a graphic pen effect with Microsoft Photo Editor.

I tried to upload those pics yesterday...my computer is too slow! I'll have to do it next time I go to the library (on account of the DSL there ; )
In the meantime though, you're not really missing much. The reason I fooled around with this pic is because it lookes lousy on it's own! B&W looks fine, but the color one is really not so hot. However, I'll try to get them up here for you to see ASA{!

Thanks Katrina for your critique on my gallery pics. Yeah today's entry was out of focus but wanted to see how big a pic could be zoomed in and cropped before it became grainy. Sometimes I just want to go back to auto shot instead of manual settings, but my goal is to learn something new everyday, be it when capturing a scene or applying an effect in a software program.

Hi Katrina! Been awhile... Don't remember seeing this one in the past; but clearly the message thread is older than my memory! Really nice treatment here. Clever way to "fix" the soft focus of the original, since you didn't like it. I will probably get shot down for saying this, but this pic immediately reminded me of "Brokeback Mountain" (no commentary intended on these 2 cowboys!) Further up in this thread, Brenton said you'd captured emotions not normally associated with cowboys--to me, the movie was all about exactly that concept. Anyway, I think this is a neat transformation. (And I see you've been busy in the gallery, too, with lots of new beautiful shots...!) #2341070
