Plattsmouth Corner

Description

I started by photographing the wonderful cartouche (a structure or figure, often in the shape of an oval shield or oblong scroll, used as an architectural ornament) below the window, and I will be entering a close-up of that later this month. I did like the surroundings equally well and took several shots of the side of this building.

Like this a lot in black and white, Nikki. The sky on the side is great, as is the touch of more modern in the lamp against the old building and the curtain caught by the breeze. I was going to say I hadn't been in Plattsmouth for years but remembered my GPS took me through there very quickly on my last visit to Omaha. #9080062

Nice to see more of the building this time... the cartouche alone was great, but I also like the geometry of all the lines of bricks and moldings. #9082908

You and Mitch are the only ones who have seen the cartouche, Chris -- it's coming to the big screen later this month, though :) Glad you like the more distant perspective though.

Thanks Jeff, Patti, Jack, Monnie, Mitch, Tammy, Mel and Chris for stopping by and letting me know you like this one. #9082925
