Absolutely lovely Susan. There is just nothing that surpasses a beautiful sunset.

Even though the image is probably straight, the edge of the river and the trees give an illusion of a tilt so try rotating it just a bit to the right.

The Sacramento Delta is one place I've missed. Any recommendations as to where to go in that area for good photo ops? #1333053

Thank you everyone...Dale, the right side of this was a curving bend in the River so it was straight, just appears that way because of the shadow silhoute created by the lighting...I can assure you I was thinking of YOU when I shot these making sure the horizon was level 'in camera' as I took each shot - so ingrained has the impact been of your tutelage!
...so if I change this, will it not seem that the water is crooked and the reflection in it? I'm curious. I'll give it a try later on~need to rest my hands a bit. #9083662

That's a great sky and sun star in the second picture, Susan.

I remember walking on that beach just last July! It was the first time I'd seen the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers.
