Taken while walking on the dirt trail at Seminole park. He was so busy pecking on this branch. Love that bright red head.

I just saw one of these beauties as I was driving up the road perched in a tree! They are the coolest of all woodpeckers..and I think the biggest! Had one hopping in my backyard once for an hour and haven't had one since (in almost 8 years!!) Thanks for sharing your great photo! #9145077
