Monarch and Cone Flowers
Description: 300f4, f4 at 1/80, spot metered on butterfly wing, arperture priority, autofocus, Velvia 100F. Image taken in front yard at sunset. I noticed this butterfly landing on the cone flowers with the sun illuminating the wings. I set up to capture the butterfly on the three cone flowers and positioned the butterfly on the right third of the frame. I took several shots positioning and repositioning as the butterfly moved in order to try various compositions.
