My Sole Tree

Uploaded: October 12, 2010

Description

After years of TLC my Sole Tree produced a fine crop this year. It is from the Lace Leaf family and a very unusual tree.

Just for fun

Very cool and unusual way to decorate a tree, Denny! Around here they throw the shoes over power lines to indicate where the drug house is at. #8962434

Thank you Tammy, Bobby, Ron, Monnie and Mike! That tree is out in the middle of nowhere so people had to drive for miles to deliver those shoes.... #8962781

Well, I've heard of shoe trees before but never really saw one in the wild. And this IS wild, Denny. Like Mike, around here they throw them on the powerlines, but, unlike Mike's situation, here it's at one specific spot to denote which high school rival won the last contest. Incredible and incredibly fun photo. #8964054

We certainly don't have these trees here in OZ, Denny! Thanks for the education and great captures! #8964414
