Carla and Mike, thanks so much. I was quite surprised by this one 'cause it came out a bit less dramatic than I'd hoped. #9038168

Thank you Ellen and Stephen. It looks as if Jeff rec'd a finalist from about the same spot while we were on this shoot. #9039219

So, either this is a sky replacement, or you found a spot that I can't remember. There were a couple of places that had these rows of columns, but I remember them all having buildings/doorways at the end, not open sky.

My shot is from the back side, by the gift shop. If you recall, we had to wait for the grounds keeper to sweep up some dirt and there was a bride and groom having their portraits taken down the walkway to our left. #9043041

Dale Hardin November 16, 2010

Good eye Jeff. That is a sky replacement and this was shot at the West wall facing South. I've enclosed the shot that was taken when I was with you on the East side facing North. #9043066

Congrats Dale! I'm always amazed at how two photograhers can shoot the very same place and come up with such different images. :~) #9052960

Dale Hardin November 20, 2010

Me too. And when you're with Jeff, you have to be on your toes to get a shot even close to his. LOL It's kinda like a mini-competition and a maxi-sharing views experience all rolled into one. #9053261

Jeff E Jensen November 20, 2010

Now Dale, I'd be willing to bet that if we went back and compared notes, your images from our shoots have done better than mine. #9054300
