Ipomoea violacea

Description

Ipomoea violacea "Morning Glory" grows wild and abundantly in this region of the Canyon Lands of lower Pecos Rio Grande. Its has been used as one of the principle hallucinogens used for divination for thousands of years. A drink is prepared from a thimbleful of the crushed seeds. It is five times as potent at Turbina corymbosa also known as Ololiuqui. This snake vine was wrapped around sunflower plants behind my office.

WOW folks am I surprised and mucho thanks. Since last Sunday I have been deep down in the Canyon Lands taking photos of Rock Art and been out of touch except for brief moments. I still have 2 more intense days of climbing over rocks and going up and down steep canyon walls and will get back to you at first opportunity next week. I will sleep with dreams tonight. #8972005

Every month, with our camera in hand, we go out and find what we hope will be the “winning photo.”
Those of us that don’t get recognized, just continue to search for that special image, until one day the Congratulations come pouring in from some of the best artist and friends anyone could image.
So to the Better Photo winners for the month of September, I congratulate you on a job so well done.
My very best to all of you, Merna Nobile
