Powerful Protector

Description

The Powerful Protector is about 75 years old, an International TD40. This HDR image was processed with Photomatix Pro, Lightroom and Topaz Labs software. 6 images were used for tone-mapping. It was taken of The Hubner Farm on Hubner Road, in The Palouse. A region in southeast Washington where rolling fields of wheat, lentils, peas, barley, garbanzo beans and mustard seed are grown. It was taken with a Nikon D-80, 18mm zoom lens, at ISO 100. By the way, it starts with gasoline until it is warmed up and then it converts to diesel. It runs great, I drove it too. ;-)

Every month, with our camera in hand, we go out and find what we hope will be the “winning photo.”
Those of us that don’t get recognized, just continue to search for that special image, until one day the Congratulations come pouring in from some of the best artist and friends anyone could image.
So to the Better Photo winners for the month of September, I congratulate you on a job so well done.
My very best to all of you, Merna Nobile
