Thank you, Dominick and Jeff! It was a wonderful (and sad) service and then everyone was so friendly afterwards. Our daughter only posed for this after the sailors and I teased her into it. :) #8897564

Joy, this is a very good portrait and you placed your daughter in the perfect spot for an excellent composition. Don't know if you're into post processing, but if you are you might consider removing the building and the ticket in the sailors hand on the right. Your exposure is excellent especially considering all the white elements in this pleasing shot. #8898143

Very nice, Joy. Appreciate those sailors, especially since my son has been a sailor for 20 years and has just been declared a hero for saving two sailors lives due to a tropical storm hitting their submarine & washing two sailors overboard while they were docked in Japan. What a joy it was to receive a letter from the commanding office of his submarine telling me my son was a hero! Of course, he has always been a hero to me! #8909330

Every month, with our camera in hand, we go out and find what we hope will be the “winning photo.”
Those of us that don’t get recognized, just continue to search for that special image, until one day the Congratulations come pouring in from some of the best artist and friends anyone could image.
So to the Better Photo winners for the month of September, I congratulate you on a job so well done.
My very best to all of you, Merna Nobile

Thank you very much, Dale, Shirley and Merna! Thank you, BP Judges! Appreciate the advice, Dale. The ticket is not a ticket, but a ribbon for the sailor to tie on the fence in remembrance of the Flight 93 heroes. Shirley, God Bless your son! Merna, thoughtful words! #8972931
