I really like this shot, especially the treatment. I'm personally still trying to figure out how to use layers and texture in Gimp, but no luck yet. Anyway, the composition of this shot is great, but I do think your use of texture/layering is superb and is what makes this so outstanding. Now one of my favorites. #8890765

Danny and Michael,

Thanks for commenting. I have been away from BP for a while, thanks to hurricanes Rita and Ike. I have returned to the world of new and cutting edge plug-in filters and textures and layers. I am still struggling with the learning curve. I am encouraged by your comments as these are some of my first efforts.

Thanks again,

Every month, with our camera in hand, we go out and find what we hope will be the “winning photo.”
Those of us that don’t get recognized, just continue to search for that special image, until one day the Congratulations come pouring in from some of the best artist and friends anyone could image.
So to the Better Photo winners for the month of September, I congratulate you on a job so well done.
My very best to all of you, Merna Nobile
