Janet,

Bodie is a Lighthouse that is in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The entire name is Bodie Island Lighthouse, but I shortened it to just Bodie. Also, "Bodie" is pronounced like the word "body."

Huh! this is intersesting ... I read some about how they were moving this lighthouse and planned to do restoration, but that was a while back. I see they are working on it now :) Good!!

Very interesting combination of nature and man-made (making? :d) elements in this image, Sarah!

They moved Cape Hatteras lighthouse back in 1999. That one has spiral b/w stripes. This one is Bodie Island lighthouse and it is being restored. #8932193
