Many thanks to all for your generous comments - Carolyn this is just one of the many (500) elephants placed around London, UK - all painted by fairly well known artists etc to raise funds and door attention to the sad fate of many elephants - Leigh was keen to purchase one until I reminded him of the freight cost back to NZ :-) I was with Kate Jackson BP member on this day and she has an even better capture of it !!! #8878288

Barbara, thanks for your answer to my question - it must have been fun seeing and photographing all the different elephants!! In some areas (like Shepparton, in Victoria) we have seen painted cows, but I don't think I've ever come across a painted elephant like this one!! ;o) Don't worry about the typo - I'm sure we all 'manage' them at times!! ;o/ I know I do!! :o( #8893973
