This looks too out of place. The shot is awesome without the bird added.

Hi, Lorraine:

I actually like the possibility of two seperate photos from this one: one with and one without the bird.

Unfortunately, the digital compositing of the bird onto the second (background) image is weakly done. The compositing is especially noticeable in the lower right wing.

However, using the proper equipement (Wacom Tablet - definitely required), the right touch, and effort. This could be a very good photo.

Cheers,
Glenn

I have to agree with Vasko and Glenn, though this is a nice photo of the beach. You probably have a better photo without the bird. What is it, exactly, that you want the viewer to see? If it is the bird, then push the background out of focus. They compete with each other for the spotlight. I also think the bird looks "put there." I've seen another photo similar to this--don't know if it yours also, but it is extremely difficult to superimpose objects when the lighting is so different in each layer. Try it with an overcast photo maybe? :) #3359

Thank you, everyone for your comments. I was just playing around with this photo and thought it would look good together. Perhaps it does, perhaps it needs more work. Anyway, thanks to all of you for commenting on it. Lorraine #3393
