i like this photo ( actually... all your photos ); it looks from the lavender hue on the bloom that the time of day could have been early morning, or twilight?

Thank you very much for your comments and your encouragement, Dave. The flower actually is lavender. You have a good eye for light, however, I took this photo about one hour before sunset. I just got back from the Botanical Gardens where I used my wide angle lens and took another photo of it. I will have to review it to see if I like it enough to upload it. If not, I intend to go back one more time and shoot again. There are some lotus in bloom, too. So, I am looking forward to shooting those. It sure is hot in Kyoto right now!!! Thanks again for appreciating my photos. :-)
